Manta5 on the red carpet

Manta5 on the red carpet

The Manta5 hydrofoil electric water bike was a star amongst stars at the launch of the James Bond movie premiere No Time to Die event held in Sydney last night at the United Cinemas Opera Quays.

VIP guests arrived to the event in absolute extravagant style befitting any Bond character. Party goers were spotted being dropped off in a Golden Aston Martin with wing doors as well as a Tesla Model X. Our own Luke Bakhuizen looking very much the 007 part arrived to the red carpet event by cycling across the water to the backdrop of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Delighted onlookers watched on capturing history unfold before their eyes on their phones. A man dressed in a black tuxedo suit complete with bow tie atop an ultra technological bike was gliding across the ocean in front of the Opera house and Circular Quay.

Pulling off this promotional stunt was effortless on the Manta5. The edge of Luke's pants barely even got wet. He was able to make it to the red carpet event of the latest James Bond film No Time to Die without even needing to get changed.

Admittedly there was a small amount of drama involved in this never before seen watercraft. The police were very friendly prior to the launching from Man O’ War steps however the Australian Federal Police trailed Luke in their boat halfway through his cycle and were speaking to him while he was riding on the water. The police called out “What are you doing mate?” Luke responded “Just riding my bike.” The AFP seemed a bit puzzled however no harm was done.

Luke says the experience of riding across the water was thrilling but easy. An awesome way to get somewhere. Cycling on water is one of those types of sports where the fun you’re having makes you forget there are fitness benefits.

The Manta5 was displayed inside the cinema and outside on the red carpet. There was a lot of excited interest in the carbon fibre sleek futuristic Manta5 models on display. Many party goers commented that they had seen it on TV.

The celebrity studded event was full of people socialising and genuinely happy to be out and about at a party in Sydney only just past lockdown restrictive days. Guests were treated to an array of canapés, espresso martinis and of course dirty martinis shaken not stirred. It was a really warm atmosphere and a fantastic event sponsored by Wahlburger and Mr Musteca of United Cinemas

Beautiful people were in attendance with Miss World 2017 Esma Voloder, models Suzan Mutesi and Imogen Anthony and Miss World Australia 2019 Sarah Marschke who wowed in a black see through dress. Many reality stars were there from the Bachelor franchise contestants Emma, Kiki, Juliette as well as MAFS Nasser, Eden and Cyrell.

All the guests were ushered into a full cinema in eager anticipation of the screening of No Time to Die. Without giving away any spoilers Daniel Craig did a brilliant performance as James Bond. You can expect an action packed thrilling spy film with all the suspense and drama to make for a satisfying movie experience. Overall it was a fantastic evening enjoyed by all and Manta5 were proud to be included in the launching of the film No Time to Die
