Tell us a little bit about yourself, how long have you been foiling and where are you from?
I grew up on the central coast bodyboarding in the early days then transitioned to surfing in my teens. Now a happily married Dad of two girls.
Started foiling 4yrs ago when a mate dropped off a Jimmy Lewis board with go foil  Kai 200 evo. The bucking bronco.
What sparked your interest in Foiling?
I tried it the next day on. 2ft beach break and got destroyed for an hour straight.
That’s honestly what had me hooked.
I had to work this out.
What was the learning curve like and if you could give one PRO tip what would it be ?
I went hard and fast into foiling as it was during Covid which gave me plenty of time to dial in prone foiling.
Then the learning curve started again a year ago learning to DW foil. Lots of highs n lows. But the highs are so good it keeps you coming back for more torture.
My number 1 tip for foiling would be keeping the mast high when needed.
What is your go to KT setup and why ?
Prone -700nomad 155 tail 85 carbon mast.
Super surfy and responsive with enough low end to connect multiple waves.
Downwind- 790 atlas 145 tail 77 carbon mast. Great alrounder can do 3min/km to low 2min/km
Tell us about which type of foiling you’re most into, what’s a standard session out foiling for you?
Downwinding has been my focus this last year. The prone has taking a side seat.
It’s just the whole experience of downwinding that is so addictive. Watching the wind forecast. Prepping mates to line up for a send. The indecisiveness of what foil to match with the energy of the day. Then the adventure of being off the coast with Mother Nature surrounding you and no option but to make it to the other end.
What is your next foiling adventure ?
My next foiling goal was inspired from our team rider Yaniv. Learning to launch some big tweaked airs on the Astro wing.
If you could summarize KT in one sentence what would it say ?
KT is a balance of everything you need in a foil, coming from the forefront of design.
