The Manta5 uses an electric motor and a hydrofoil to lift and coast you through the water at speeds up to 20km/h. You’ll be able to manoeuvre as though you are simply riding a bike. This is not a concept product. With one hour of battery life, the only recommendation is that you find yourself back to shore before that time is up.
It's not as impressive as you would see in a James Bond film. However, the Manta5 shore offers a city commuter a chance to experience thrills and close-ups. It's a cross between an exercise bike and a stormtrooper, so it's certainly the future of cycling. Although it looks a bit different from the original bicycle around 200 years ago this bike is balanced.

The Manta5 Hydrofoiler XE-1 eBike offers a unique experience on the water. It allows you to cycle along the shores of your favourite rivers, oceans, and lakes. Riders can reach a top speed of 13 mph with the 460W brushless motor. The carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon propeller and carbon-fibre hydrofoils are paired together to maximise lift and reduce drag. This makes it possible to handle anything from quiet lakes to the ocean.
The Manta 5 water e-bike from Future Movement Co has two hydrofoils made of carbon fibre. It is similar in appearance to aerofoils for planes. Also known in the sailing world as the technology behind new-generation America's Cup yachts. The bike is kept floating by the combination of these and technology from road-ready e-bikes.
Bicycling on water in a pedal bike style is very demanding. The onboard batteries provide electric assistance, enough to keep the bike running for an hour. This means that you won't sink even if you ride for a while, then stop and rest.
According to the manufacturer, this bike is capable of a four hour ride. After this, you can fold it up, put it in the trunk of your car, and return it to base. It takes about three hours to complete a full charge.
